This feed is meant to finalize the development of the layer pullet into a mature laying bird, and is fed from the 9th week up to the 17th week. By the 17th week, the bird is expected to have fully developed and ready to start laying eggs. For budgeting purposes, work on about 4.3kg to 4.5kg of feed per bird for the whole period. Again, it is essential to fine-tune the weights of the bird as it approaches maturity. Remember both overweight and underweight birds will not lay properly.
